Stubb never intended to bottle his sauce. For years, his friends Sharon and Joe Ely begged him to do it, but he was too stubborn to agree. Then, around Christmas of 1989, Sharon tried a new strategy, “He needed money for Christmas presents, so I said, please let us do it just this once. Brown sugar, garlic, sesame and citrus combine for a taste that brings the flavor of the chicken out but still provides a hint of tangy, light spices.
Instructions: Marinate for 30 minutes to three hours.
